I have disabled the "Save Auto-recovery Information every x Minutes", I am using Windows 8.1 and Office 365/2016.
When I close the document, top right hand corner X, it will hang for about 5 seconds which it never did before. Sometimes when working with the document it will simply go into the NOT RESPONDING mode, and you have to wait the 30 - 60 seconds for it to exit the NOT RESPONDING mode. Again, what is the program trying to do when it goes into the NOT RESPONDING mode ? The same problem will occur every time you open another Word 2016 file. What is it doing for 60 seconds while it displays "Word File NOT RESPONDING" ? I.e., the document opens, shows the first page, then goes somewhere for about 60 seconds. My Word 365/2013 was working fine until I updated to 365/2016, Word goes into the WORD NOT RESPONDING WHEN YOU FIRST OPEN the Word document.
